Burglary increase in the area |
||
|
Good Morning,
I have seen over the weekend that there has been an increase in burglaries around the Lynsted Avenue/Walker Avenue area in Great Lever. The neighbourhood policing team are currently looking into these to see if there is a connection to them and possibly the same offender in all incidents so expect an increase of visibility in the upcoming days. If you notice any suspicious activity around these areas that may assist with our enquiries feel free to let us know.
Please bear in mind that this time of year we normally see an increase in house and vehicle breaks due to the darker nights so a couple bits I would advise to do over this winter period are as follows:
If you are out of the property during the day when darkness falls then make sure lighting is on in the property. A good solution to this would be to invest in a light timer switch which you can set at a certain time each day and your lights will switch on automatically. These switches can be bought at most supermarkets or places like Home Bargains etc. and are not expensive, plus they are very easy to set up.
Kind Regards
